Attached please find a part of steel construction (3D) in dxf-format.
I intend to model the beam through CG of the object.

Beam looks like as shown in "3D element.dxf"
Can any one please help to find following parameters so that I can make a "Prismatic Properties" In STAAD.Pro?

The following prismatic properties are required for analysis

AX = Cross sectional area
IX = Torsional constant
IY = Moment of inertia about y-axis.
IZ = Moment of inertia about z-axis.

Regards
Bill

I think you need to cut a 2-d section through the beam. Then use AutoCad to clean up the intersections and create 2 boundary regions. Then use Tools/Inquiry/Region Mass Properties to find the AX, IZ and Iy sectional properties. It should be easy enough to calculate the torsional properties IX by hand.
