Hey

Is there an easy way to save the Staad output file as a txt file? Not with any external file conversion program, but from within Staad itself.

Huh.... I thought that STAAD's output files were just ASCII text files..... Granted, I'm thinking of the ones from STAAD-III circa the year 2000 ish.

Well, it's an ANL file which I now see that I can actually read as a text file if I want to. Thanks!

When you are done running the analysis you can open the plain text output right away (there is an option that says View output file). You can also get to it from the Utilities menu - "Analysis Output". The file, as you noted, is a .anl file, but it's just text file with some formatting. Notepad, Notepad+ etc. should work fine.
