Hi everybody,

I ran a 3D plastic model of mining labours in rock. Is it possible to plot in the Visualization Module only the yielded (plastified) elements?

Thanks in advance.

Why yes there is!
press 'plot contours on deformed shape'
select PE to plot (plastic strain)
go to view cut, make a new one w isosurface, set limit > 0, done!

Alternatively: select LE to plot
go to view cut, make a new one w isosurface, set limit > 'your plastic strain limit', done!

I believe you need to have abaqus version > 6.10 for it though.

Thank you, Sdebock, what a fast answer!

The simplicity of one who knows. Very easy (and helpful).

Regards
