Does any know a proproven design for welded on pipe slipper/shoes for high temperature pipe (say 550C) where the slipper and pipe could/will be operating at different temperatures?
The concern is that the pipe and part of the slipper welded to it (under the insulation) will much hotter than the bottom of the slipper (not insulated) so something will bend.
