Hi,
We have isolation block requirement under the pipe so that temperature should not transmit steel. But i have checked the temperature profile for shoe in Ansys tool and temperature at baseplate is very less. But client asking me to take pipe design temperature upto boundary of insulation. I need some documentation to convince client for not taking pipe temperature upto the insulation boundary. please suggest.

Thanks Ravi

Please provide drawing or sketch.

And temperatures etc

If you are talking about piping design temperature (not shoe design temperature), taking temperature at boundary of insulation is anti-conservative, as at that location, temperature is lower, if I understand your point correctly.
