PIN FIN TEMPERATURE ANALYSIS IN ANSYS ..BE HELPFUL!!

I am novice in working with Ansys 5.4, and I am unable to select the material for analysis for my simple problem, viz. a 1-Dimensional, Steady State one..Pin fin, Circular cross section, Base and ambient temperature known..conduction along its length, and convection to atmostphere..fin's end is insulated.
If you could help, please give me if possible the the actual command input/ GUI click 'works'!and if you don't mind..ASAP!
