NX 9.0 I have an assembly model with approximately 30 unique parts. I have created an assembly drawing of this model. 1 of the parts will not show up. I have checked the layer of the part that will not show up. I have updated all the views. The part not showing up is a washer. It is an extra thick washer that I modeled myself, not a download. I have attached a screen shot to help show my problem. Please help.

Thank you,
Trent

Layer visible in view setting? Is the part loaded? Is it in the SOLID ref set?

Best regards,

I believe the problem to be isolated to the washer file and not the assembly file as I have a second assembly model and drawing which also has the washer in it. The washer is visible in the model but is not showing up in the assembly drawing. However, the washer does show up in the BOM/Parts list of both assembly drawings.

Do you have different arrangements? Is the part interfering with any of the assembly? Try changing your view tolerance to a little bit tighter. Are you using a smartlight weight view or exact in your view properties?

Like MickyV007, I suspect a layer visible in view setting; these settings are independent per view. Even if you can see the component in the modeling view, the setting may be hiding the component in the drawing view. Go to Format -> layer visible in view, select the drawing view and make sure that the layer the component is on is marked as "visible". Repeat for other drawing views as necessary.

Out of desperation (and since it was a very simple part) I deleted the washer from the assembly, deleted the washer from TeamCenter and then redrew it and added it back to the assembly and it is now visible in the drawing. Thanks for all the suggestions. I will keep the "Format -> layer visible in view" setting in mind for the next time I come across this issue.

Thank you,
