With Inventor, is there any way to create multiple part and assemblies, each having a different drawing linked to the indiviual configuration?
I have previously used SW and made great use of their configurations ability.
I am in the process of designing various lengths scraper blades.
In SW, at the assembly level, I would create a configuration for each different length.
At the part level, I would also create configurations for each different length.
While in the assembly, I would change part configurations for the different length scrapers.
I know my description if very weak, so I am hoping there are others out there that have used
both programs and understand what I am asking.
Thank you so much for your help.

You will want to look into iFeatures, iParts, iAssemlbies and iLogic.
Start with iParts.
What book are you using to learn Inventor?

The company has the Autodesk manuals for Inventor 2010 (I use 2013).
I refer to these when I run across something I could do in SW to see
how to do the same thing with Inventor.
The different configurations is one thing I haven't been able to find
anything on.
Does Inventor call this be a different name?
Thank you for your reply.

an ipart is a single part "factory" with multiple configurations
an iassembly is an assembly "factory" with multiple configurations.

Thank you for your help.
I will dig into the help section on this and
see what I can learn.
Thanks again for your help.
