I'm having issues with parent geometry being shown after sheet metal conversion has taken place. Ie. The solid body which has been converted to sheet metal, shows both the original extrusion and the sheet metal body.

In the past hiding the parent items allowed the part to display correctly in the modeling environment. However the same is not the case in the drawing environment as the parent geometry seems to come through regardless.

How can I hide the original construction geometry? Is there a way to have the children consume the parent features similar to the way that features can internalize a sketch.

Cheers,
Dave

That extra Geometry is it in your reference set that you are using in your part that the drawing is referencing? So go to your 3D model. Do a show all. Select format then reference sets. Highlight the model reference set. You should see all of you surfaces highlighted. Hold down shift and turn your selection filter to none and then deselct what surfaces you do not want to see in your drawing and or assembly.

Worked like a charm!
Thank you
