I can't recall ever seeing anything like this. Exactly what operation are you using to create the curve? Can you provide a detailed description of the steps you take when creating the curve where these extra points are being created?

i created point to point, then edited them to be on a selected plane.
The points don't seem to show up straight away, but when i open the file the next morning, they're there, and it seems to be at end points, of where i might have moved them from and to.
The file is one created by the customer, so it may be something in the file, although it's been saved as, plus I've applied my appearences to it, (as you showed us a few weeks ago, with a pallette), my preferences create green points, and these are yellow, so maybe its left over from their file, but i want to make sure, my files don't do it, as it's messy and annoying.

Do they appear to be some sort of reference points used to help create the line in the "background" of the command? Do they only appear after you've performed an edit or are they only appearing after closing and re-opening the file? Have you tried to do a Refresh and/or Update Display to see if that triggers the points to appear?
The reason I ask is because I have noticed similar behavior in different commands (Styled Corner, Trim Curve being the 2 most prominent) where "temporary" or "reference" geometry is created in order to execute the given command and sometimes this temporary geometry doesn't disappear like it should. The 2 examples I gave above were fixed after I reported them to GTAC. Maybe this is a similar situation.
I would create a new part file and try manipulating an Associative Line in the same manner to see if the points would show up in the new .prt file like they are in the file from your customer.

I've thinned out the file enough to get it on the forum...
I only ever noticed the points after i re-open the file, i've tried refresh and part clean up.
Also i've re saved the file a few times while working on it, but it didn't always seem to do it, so maybe you're right about it being points that aren't supposed to show up

If that is the true culprit, you'll need to send the file to GTAC then so they can look at it and then try to fix the issue, if in fact, it's an NX issue and not part specific.
