I need to check shear from a point load on a 4" concrete slab on 1.5" metal decking (non-composite metal decking) reinforced both ways with #4 @ 8" O.C.

Can I account for the reinforcement at all to resist shear, or can I only account for Vc according to Table 22.5.5.1?

I've never considered flexural reinforcement for resisting shear (in concrete).

civil 4343: At the Ultimate Limit State of Design the amount of flexural reinforcement in a section controls the extent of cracking of that section. More the uncracked section more is its capacity to resist Shear. This relationship between the amount of flexural reinforcement and the shear strength of concrete has been captured via the table 22.5.5.1.
WARose: Its true that you cannot use the flexural reinforcement to resist shear.

See this thread. Link Check punching shear on the 4" slab.
