I can change the icon to be small to get rid of the text under it, but is there anyway to stay with the large icon, but avoid the text ?

The text is the same as the tooltip, so it's not really required.

In NX 9.0 you you can only have 'Small' icons without text on the main Ribbon (in galleries you have more choices in both size and text options). However, startiing with NX 10.0, you'll have more size options for icon in the main Ribbon as well as the option to include text or not with ALL icon sizes.

That being said, IF you think that this will allow you to have TWO large icons, stacked on top of the other, forget it. The rules for NX 10.0 is that for the main Ribbon bar itself, you can have ONE Extra Large or Large icon, TWO Medium icons or THREE Small icons stacked on top of each other, whether text is included or not. That's it.

That's fine John, thanks for the response.

I've had one user ask if the Ribbon Bar can be set vertical rather than horizontal [smile] I won't bother actually asking that question !

No it can't, but in NX 10.0 you'll be able to undock the entire Ribbon so that you can place it wherever you like, including perhaps off onto a second monitor (in NX 9.0 you can only undock individual 'tabs').
