Hello,

Can someone explain me the benefit of using the option 'extract the boundary curves of the gusset while Unbend' in NX 10 Sheet metal?
Just want to know the practical use of this boundary curve in the Flat solid.

Thanks in advance,
Mathi K

Since you can add features, like holes and cutouts, while in the 'Unbend' state, which will then be part of your final model after a 'Rebend' operation, the curves will identify those areas of the flattened sheet that you need to avoid when adding any holes or cutouts. In the past, if you had placed your Gussets prior to performing the Unbend operation, there was no way to know where they were located while in that state and could cause problems if any of the features added while in that state overlapped or even came too close to where the Gussets were located. These newly added curves will now show that area of the sheet metal that will be taken by the Gussets.
