Dear Colleagues,

I am creating a load chart for pile design in a Hotel building, for external consultation.

To complete the chart I have to include Columns and Wall forces on the ground level. So I have selected joints under the columns and got the reaction forces. Under the walls the most common output is to give line loads, which shell forces should I give as horizontal and vertical reactions on the bottom edge F11 F22 etc.?

Please share with me what output would you give to the foundation specialists, for pile design under wall elements.

Best Regards,

Serguei.

F22 times the wall thickness provides the vertical load distribution function at the base of the wall.
F12 times the wall thickness provide the horizontal load distribution function at the base of the wall.
