I have an elevated storage tank that will have an antenna mast installed on it. The engineer has designed nelson studs, 3/8"dia, for the attachment. the roof is 1/4" plate. Does anyone know or have experience on how that can affect an interior paint/coating? thanks

The stud will melt about 2000 degrees F and so I would expect the surface on the opposite side of the stud could easily see 750-1000 degrees. Your paint in the area of the will stud be toast unless it is High temp paint.
