I'm looking for a spreadsheet to calculate flow thru an annulus given D1 and D2, the width of the 'orifice plate' and differential pressure on each side of the annulus. Fluid is clear water at 80 deg F.

Thanks!

Is this a flow through a heat excanger or is your flow through an funny looking orfice plate?

if it is a heat exchanger a modification of the hydraulic radius is required, those mods can be back fitted to your favorite pressure drop calculations (darcy, HZ-WM, ect)

if it through an orfice plate you losses will be very close to a round sharp orfice plate of similar cross sectional area. The only error correction would be in the added vena contracta (sp) due to the additional edge
