Necessity of Closure Strip in Reinforced Concrete Construction

Hi guys,

Do we need closure strip after exceeding certain volume/ surface area of concrete being poured.

We have expansion joint at recommended length, do we really need closure strip again.

We have specified 280 sq. m app.(55'x55') max. pour area. If contractor exceeds from that limit, do we require closure strip.

The term "closure strip" makes it sound like it might be post-tension construction. Is it conventional reinforced concrete or post-tensioned? Slab-on-grade or structural? Exterior or interior exposure?

It is conventional reinforced concrete parking garage slab.

Is there any limitation for pour area, or the slab can be poured upto expansion joint in a one pour.

So idea is once we exceed the limit for expansion joint, we have to take into account the expansion/shrinkage of concrete and also the need for closure strip, right.
