My thesis relies on desinging overmolding solutions of two components instead of carrying out an assembly step, thus removing the necessity to rely on a third party.
The substrate thermoplastic is the Ultramid® B3EG6, a glass fibre reinforced injection moulding grade polyamide. The overmolded material the Lupolen GX 5038, an HDPE.
How can I effectively research and verify if these two materials are compatible to be overmolded, considering additives will have to be added to promote better adhesion?
