Movable mechanism for room divider

Hi, here is an industrial designer friend
I'm looking for engineering ideas to hold a 2.10 x 3 meters room divider without making it stiff as it needs to be easy to move by the potential clients. I would also appreciate that the mechanism won't change or affect the overall design or cover the gaps in the design. An extra fact is that the forms presented in the design will probably be of felt. Hinged panels have been used for centuries... what's wrong with that? The rice paper and bamboo they use in Japan is pretty light.
