Monel 400- 316L GMAW recommendations?

Welding a replacement section of a pressure vessel. Monel 400 to 316L SS. Looking for any GMAW wire recommendations.
1/4" Monel to 3/8" 316L SS.

Suggest you contact the technical folks at Special Metals, but I think you could use (1)82 or Inco A.

Sorry you did say GMAW, ERNiCr-3 ( 82) should work.

There are a number of nickel base weld filler metals that can be used. You need to determine the corosion compatabilty of the materials before selecting the appropriate one.
