Hi, I have been trying to model a rigid pavement with doweled joints using abaqus. I have been successful in using springs for the connection. The results do not match with the actual data. Hence i have been trying to embed steel bars into the concrete to simulate the joints. However the model does not work and gives a bunch of errors which i am unable to correct. I have attached the cae file for review. Kindly provide help.

Hi all, I corrected a few errors from the mode however there is an error regarding element distortion. The warning shown is as follows:

***WARNING: 420 elements are distorted. Either the isoparametric angles are out of the suggested limits or the triangular or tetrahedral quality measure is bad. The elements have been identified in element set WarnElemDistorted.

Any suggestions??

Hi akshay,
My problem is same with yours, but the joint is single. I tried to open your file with ABAQUS, but the format is inp instead of cae. Could you please explain how have you solved it? This is the link of my problem explanation:
Thanks

Hello akshay, I have interpreted your input-file and created a CAE database. I have reduced the model for supposed symmetrical reasons to 1/4. I have run the model which is purely linear.
If you are intrested I can mail the CAE file.
