Hello, after modelling a part and then going on to draft it, I noticed that some lines behind surfaces were showing up for some reason. Also, at the edges where I chamfered them, you can still see the original edge as well as the new. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Without at least some images or the part file itself, there is little that anyone could comment on or suggest solutions.

Hi Jonagorn ,
It would be nice to have some images of your model but as you mentioned "SURFACES" it could be a result of multiple copies of sheets (may be you have hidden them but are in the same layer and hence appear in the drafting view).
Best Regards
Kapil

An image would definitely help, but my best guess is that you have faces (or surfaces) that are interferring with each other.

I'll add a couple more guesses:

Have the views been updated?
Are there any sketches and/or any other geometry that shouldn't be in the reference set?
