Model is Unstable

Hi,

Im studiyng a garage engine hoist and i must do a static analysis of the weldments.

The problem that i have now is the following:

In order to aply the hydraulic reaction in the midle of the weldment i made two lines in the sketch and then aplyed the structure so i could have a joint to creat the reaction. When i run the study appears a message saying that my model is unstable

Try using the tool mentioned in this error message. Another way is to run modal analysis. But in this case there are likely missing constraints in the direction normal to the screen.

I used the tool mentioned but i dont think it gaves me a real solution for instance the displacement

This tool is used just to check the rigid body motions, not to perform the actual analysis. The simulation will work if you fully constrain the left end.
