Modal analysis result interpretation

Hello All,

I am performing a modal analysis of a shaft in prestressed condition, now the result is that its safe upto 3 modes and after that stress and deflection are high. what is the meaning of these modes in actual working condition of my shaft? How do i know that shaft will reach upto certain modes during working condition?
