I am installing electrical equipment in a freezer and this equipment require a specific kilowatts to run. Not all of the power consumed is lost as heat. Is there a rule of thumb to estimate how must consumed energy is comsumed as work and how much is heat loss?

If you know the efficiency of the equipment - say 85% efficient - then a good estimate is that 15% of the energy has been lost to heat. Other than that, without knowing what kind of equipment you are talking about, it is hard to give a rule of thumb.

If the equipment is totally contained and operating within the space then ultimately all the energy input may be lost as heat. As ChrisConley says, more detail on the typ of equipment is required.

Cheers.
