Hi to all,
I am working on a LEED certification project for an office building located in north Spain, In this project there are one air source heat pump that produces heat and cold water simultaneously during the mid-season (it is expected that some zones might require heat and others cold simultaneously), the heat pump is connected to two water tanks (hot water 40-45C and cold water 7-12) and from there to the fan coil and AHU units. During the summer the heat pump will be working in cooling only mode and during the winter in heating only mode. Part of the waste heat will be recovered for ACS via water-to-water heat pump.
I was wondering if there is a way to model this in HAP. I tried but I cannot find a system that can generate both hot water and cold water simultaneously as per demand, and it is assuming that a boiler will be required for hot water. The change over plant is reversible but cannot generate both simultaneously (no heat recovery option).
Would this be possible to model in HAP? any idea? If not, is there any work around? is there any other software that supports this?
Thanks
