Hi,
I am looking for a software to visually simulate a simple dynamic mechanical system consisting of a series of pulleys, springs, and masses. By visually simulate, I mean I want to be able to place pulleys, ropes, springs, and masses as I want them, and set an initial condition or create a disturbance and watch the whole thing move.

Ideally, I would also be able to put in dampers and set friction in the different components.

Are there any software out there that lets me easily do this?

Thanks

Yea, I wish WM was free. I am using a trial version. [smile]

I still haven't mastered SolidWorks fully (and I doubt I ever will), but at a guess that should do it as well...

Yes Cosmos Motion can do it, but that's expensive.

Which of the add ons can do this? it took me half an hour, while watching Big Bang Theory.

The orange vehicle weighs 640 kg, each box weighs 20 kg, and is a 0.8 m cube. The initial speed of the vehicle is 15 m/s. Roughly speaking what is the collision force between the dark green and light green boxes?
