I have a question about the theory standing behind the application of enforced motion in ANSYS. It can be found in Mechanical APDL Theory Reference (14.18 -- Enforced Motion in Structural Analysis).
I am interested in the first two of them:
14.18.1 -- Full Full Method for Transient and Harmonic Analyses
14.18.2 -- Enforced Motion Method for Transient and Harmonic Analyses
Is it possible to choose which one is used in the analysis?
My second question concerns the RHS parts of the equations of motion (14.321 and 14.324+14.327).
Assuming that only the accelerations are imposed on the structure, what happens with RHS velocity and displacement terms in equation 14-321 and how the enforced displacement u_2 is derived? It is used for quasi-static response calculation in equation 14-324.
