For MV voltage level (36 kV) the maximum nominal current for CB are:

2500 A

3150 A (forced ventilation)

Nowadays there are still the same values or bigger values can be found? Where?

This manufacturer offers power circuit breakers with 5000 Amp continuous current ratings at the 38kV level:

40 years ago I helped install a 6000 Amp, 13kV SF6 breaker in an underground substation.

This manufacturer offers power circuit breakers with 5000 Amp continuous current ratings at the 38kV level:

5000 A in busbars.

Feeders is 2500 A maximum.

And, just me being picky, it's SF6, not SF6.

The footnotes on page 5 of the attachment indicate 3150 A is available with forced cooling for Single-busbar and double-busbar switchgear. With, as mentioned, 5000 A reserved for the main switchgear bus only.

The Siemens 3AH3 breakers are available for 4000 continuous current rating @ 36kV (page 42).

Vacuum CB's up to 4000A for integration into MV SWGRs for special applications (example: Simetal Sivac-X furnace switchgear) and not into conventional GIS or AIS MV
