Dear all,

In the compress report specifically in pressure summary. The MAWP for the nozzles depends of what?
I am asking because I think the MAWP should be given by the ASME B16.5 and I am doing a vessel in which the report indicates a MAWP lower than given for ASME B16.5 at the indicated temp.

Regards,

Edinson

Continue with the last post,

I have found different kind of cases for the Reinforcement Calculations for Internal Pressure. Which are as follows:
The attached ASME B16.5 flange limits the nozzle MAWP.
Available reinforcement per UG-37 governs the MAWP of this nozzle.
The vessel wall thickness governs the MAWP of this nozzle.
The attached ASME B16.5 flange limits the nozzle MAWP.

When applies each of these??

ASME Section VIII Div 1 controls the design of the vessel (unless using Div 2) to the face of the nozzle flange. From there on, it is controlled by the piping code. Given different nozzle thicknesses, operating temperatures, and vessel reinforcement, any of the items you list may control the MAWP of the particular nozzle. Please read U-1(e)(1) for the limits of the scope of the code.
