I have Mathcad 2000 which I purchased on a trip to the US. Trouble is that since I live in a foreign spanish speaking country I can't install it on either my laptop with Windows XP Home nor on my desktop with Windows 98SE. It gives me the message that it is for sale only on the US and Canada. I know there is a way that this can be circunvented. Anyone knows how?

Carlos,

Have you tried changing your global settings (language, time zone, etc.) to the US within windows? Then reboot, install mathcad, reboot, then fire up mathcad. Then try changing your settings back once installed.

Cheers,

I did what you suggested and I got Mathcad installed on my Windows 98SE desktop. But couldn't on my Windows XP laptop. I changed keyboard language and regional settings on the control panel for windows XP. Maybe if you tell me with some more detail what sections should I change in addition to the ones I did.

Thanks for your help

Carlos

Change everything in the regional setting to US even the time and date setting.

Thanks, it worked!!!
