Dear All,

I am looking for a material that will bond to carbon steal to create a coating what will be very resistant to abrasion and will insulate the metal electrically. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

John McGrath

There are various types of epoxy paints that would probably meet your needs. Your best bet would be to talk to a coating supplier.

You can braze various ceramics to steel.

John

you have a good option by choosing dry lubricants as like epoxy mix with MoS2. Danny

PVD applied coating such as TiN TiCN or CrN are wear resistant, oxidation resistant and being a ceramic coating, electical insulators.
