List Of Bulk Density Of Aggregates In Groundworks From An Approved Source? 2

I'm trying to find a table/ list of all the common aggregates used in the groundworks industry in the UK from a certified source. Is anyone able to point me in the direction of a certified source/ book?

I have found the below; which are very helpful; but I was hoping for something a bit more certified. But there really should be a certified source?

Aggregates are natural materials and their bulk densities will change with each excavation and within an excavation. I can't see that it would be practical to certify a single bulk density for an aggregate source.

What is your use of the information?

Certified aggregate densities are obtained from nuclear densometer testing. The density achieved after compaction is related to the target standard proctor density specified by the engineer.

Find out quarry the material is coming from, call them up and they should be able to produce proctor curves and gradations for the material they are supplying.

Keep in mind that a lot depends on the specific gravity of the aggregate/natural soil materials. When I worked in Toronto area, the MTO Granular A had a MDD (modified) value of about 136 lbs/ft3 (21.8 kN/m3 approx). Then I moved to Vancovuer and the value increased to about 144 lbs/ft3 (23.1 kN/m3 approx) - numbers might be a bit off (long time ago) but there was a marked difference and it took a while to get my mind turned around.
