I am looking for a high-strength, light-weight plastic panel 1-1.5" thick with a weight of less than 2.9 lbs/ft2. I would like to know where I can find information about material fitting this criteria.

Thanks,
Sara

I think you are out of luck. Even balsa would be heavier than that.

Sarar , it is better you put your correction on the same post

I have a correction for my last thread, in the design will be a honeycomb shape sandwiched between to flat panels, so I guess what I am looking for is a material with a high strength-to-weight ratio and where I could find information about this type of material.

maybe you can look for a polycarbonate alveolar .

I know of them on about 10 mm thick .

I do not know is there is 1 " thick

Have you checked into aerospace materials?

We use panels made by Nordam and the 1" thick fiberglass skin honeycomb panels weigh .64 lb / ft^2 and aluminum skinned 1" thick is 1.14 lb / ft^2...
