I'm attempting to locate and purchase a helpful reference for lateral design...our firm primarily focuses on 1-2 story steel framed buildings typically using masonry shear walls (and braced frames/moment frames as required).

Any suggested manuals/literature would be appreciated. Thanks.

For masonry wall lateral design I would recommend "The Reinforced Masonry Engineering Handbook" by Amrhein. It is an excellent resource for masonry lateral design.

For the steel portion use the industrial building design guide from AISC. It is free for members.
