Is there somewhere in UG NX8.5 that I can keep notes as to what I am doing, making changes, what the updates are, etc ?
Somewhere I can keep track of when it was released to the shop and who I gave the drawings to.
Things like that can be refereed to but not show up on drawings or on the models.
Thanks

What you are asking for is more or less what a PLM system does. - And Siemens will quite promptly recommend a special one :-)
I have not seen a "notepad" in NX, but i agree fully that it would compliment a PLM system , for purposes such as "why did I build the features this way", "watch feature#xx for yyyy" etc.

Tomas

We use part attributes that we sync with teamcenter to store designer relevant information with the part revision. This could be done in NX 8.5 native mode by defining a number of attributes to carry the information that you want to keep track of in you seed parts. In NX 9 and newer you could do the same thing by using the attribute template functionality.

jerry1423, yes I do that also.
Thanks all for the input.

You could use a Spreadsheet to track changes or add notes. Gateway - Tools - Spreadsheet

Thanks John, that might just work.
