True. But a window failure could lead to a loss of pressure.

Maybe I should clarify that I was lumping all those failures together into a "airframe hull failure" in my mind. So, window cracks in one and pressure losses in another could be a related maintenance issues or design flaws; but an engine failure is clearly a separate issue and the damaged window was just a result of that engine failure. We'll just have to wait to find out what caused the recent pressure loss incident.

how does someone not get sucked out? Cruising speed is not that far from Mach 1.0.

.... and I thought we were supposed to "Wear out seat belts even though the Captain has turned off the fasten seat belt light," just because of turbulence.
