Dear all,
I am attempting to determine the radial outward force (ROF) of an elastic structure which has been compressed by an outer rigid cylinder. The cylinder is comprised of SFM3D4R surface elements.
In reviewing what might be the simplest way to extract the ROF, I have attempted to use *INTEGRATED OUTPUT, SOF.
Based on the documentation, this should return the total force transmitted through the surface. So, I have defined the surface of the shell driving the compression as the integrated surface output section.
Unfortunately, nothing is written to the History Output after the simulation finishes.
Any ideas on this, or tips on implementing *INTEGRATED OUTPUT?
At the moment, the only thing I can see as an issue is that perhaps an integrated output section needs to be between two other elements (i.e. at least 2 elements thick)?
Cheers,
-J
