Impact force

Hi All,

I am working on an impact simulation using ABAQUS/Explicit. The impactor is 3D discrete rigid body, I defined the total mass to it and its initial velocity using the predefined field in the load section. I have used tie contraint for cohesive element and composite layer, surface to surface contact for the interaction definition. Also I requested RF3 for reference point in impactor from history ouput. But when i plot, this force is zero.
Can somebody help me

RF is only available for nodes with BC in a given DOF. In this case, you could use contact force or reaction force from a fixed target.

Here is my BC at RP. Is it correct ?

You won't get RF3 for this node because it doesn't have a boundary condition in U3.
