Incorrect temper in ASME II-D ?

ASME-II, Part D (Customary) Table 3 lists N07718 with Temper="Solution ann.", and on the next page it says that min tensile strength is 185 ksi.
But if I instead look at SpecialMetals datasheet for Inconel alloy 718 (UNS N07718) then they state on page 2:
"For most applications, INCONEL alloy 718 is specified as: solution annealed and precipitation hardened".
And on page 3 they list the strength after precipitation hardening as 185 ksi.

Precipitation hardening normally adds on significant strength to a solution annealed material (to a material which can be Precipitation hardened). So to me it seems like either is Temper wrong, or material data wrong.

What does ASME reallly mean when they state Temper="Solution ann." ?
Do they mean "solution anneal only" or "solution annealed and precipitation hardened" ?


 
You need to go back to the material specification, SB-637 and review it. The specification title is


SPECIFICATION FOR PRECIPITATION-HARDENING
NICKEL ALLOY BARS, FORGINGS, AND FORGING
STOCK FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE SERVICE


The heat treatment for 718 is Solution treatment and precipitation hardened. It is not solution anneal.
