Import STEP-file

I have problems opening a STEP-file. I doesn`t seem to appear in the open directory when i try to open it. If I choose all files, in the open window, it doesn`t show. But if I choose all files in the working directory window the STEP-files are shown.

You must remove any spaces, dots and other illegal characters from the file name.

Some CAD softwares generate extention .STEP. This is transparent for Pro-E. Change to .stp. This have to work.

Otherwise file me be not compatable by contens or corrupted during translation.

I had the same problem before. This is an easy workaround. All you have to do is rename the file extension. Pro E does not see STEP files so you have to rename it to STP and then try it again.
