dependency on import ? 1

Dear colleagues

I am importing a *.cgr , *.cadpart and *.cadproduct (not simultaneously, rather in three different sessions) by File -> Open (for the catia ones i have the Interface and Collaboration licenses obtained).
Goal is to save the geometry contained in the former three in an independent Creo *.prt/asm and upload it in Windchill (it is a unification of a large assembly).
My question is if such save (as a copy or backup) creates any kind of dependence from the imported files ?
