Hi all, i started a similar thread to this with regards to scailing, however, i am now having isuses with importing pro/e assembly, and then scaling up to metric within NE Nastran. not only do i lose my naming conventions from the import (due to having to scale up by 25.4 and a new set of solids are created). also, some surfaces fail in the scaled up model. this may be beacuse of a part accuracy compatibility between pro and nas. So does this mean that i have to work in Imperial units so that i don't experience these headaches? any input is much appreciated,

also, i work on relitively large forged part aluminum weldments (bicycle frames) and in metric, they are over 1000mm (units). will NE Nastran have an issue scaling up this big because my model size exceeds the +/-500unit Parasonlid boundary?
thanks,
darcyo
