Reg. property groups in Autodesk Nastran

I need to run an FEA analysis (using Autodesk Nastran) on an assembly consisting of over 500 parts and 3000 bolts. To facilitate meshing, I'd like to divide the parts into five property groups.

Can anyone suggest a suitable approach for grouping these parts?
