Hi,
Does anybody know which is the best way to make precast wall-wall connections look nice in the precast parking garage?
Let's say two 8" precast concrete walls meet at 90 degrees.
I would like to connect two embed plates in the walls with 1/2" thick steel angle welded.
The simplest way is embed the plates at the flush face of precast concrete, and then weld and paint (ZRC) them later.
Another method is to recess around the embed plates and then patch them later.
If I use this method, what material and how deep recess should I use in order to avoid any crack happening later?
Or, isn't a kind of plastic cover in the market?
Thank you very much for your sharing!!!
