Hi all,

I'm trying to calculate the torque on a shaft. I have a plate that is attatched to a shaft. Im applying pressure on the plate and trying to calculate torque using abaqus. I have used cylindrical coundaries on the shaft to fix it on the axial rotation (Theta). Any ideas on how I should proceed to find the torque on the shaft?

Thanks in advance. :)

Can anyone give any feedbacks? Highly appreciated!!

Hi bimasu.
Could you try to fix the shaft via MPC (REF NODE in axis of shaft), with Z-axis concentric to shaft axis? Then you can plot RM3 as history output, or simply check the field output in post processor for MPC reference node.
I hope I understood your question correctly ;)

I think I can do it. Although im not sure how to do it. Im using Hypermesh & NX simulation as my model panel.

Can you advice me on how to do it?

Thanks in advance. :)
