Hi everyone,
I am running a static simulation in Abaqus for my undergraduate thesis. Right now, I'm trying to validate my model and my goal is to analyze the ultimate strength and fracture sequence of a single shear bolted connection in thin-walled carbon steel using GUI (I'm very new to the software and I was told to use GUI). My model consists of:
  • Test plate (elastic-plastic material, bilinear stress-strain)
  • Pulling plate & bolts (modeled as elastic)
  • General contact with "Hard" normal behavior & friction coefficient = 0.45
But my simulation is not running properly. I get no result from my model. Now I am extremely confused about how the analysis is supposed to be done. Can anyone please check my model and tell me where I'm going wrong
P.S. I'm really sorry about the condition of attached file. At this point, I'm scared to change even a single thing.

Hi. I've made some changes but the warnings and errors persist.

Error Messages:
Too many attempts made for this increment

The analysis has been terminated due to previous errors. Output for the last converged increment has not been written due to convergence issues.

Abaqus/Standard Analysis exited with an error - Please see the message file for possible error messages if the file exists.

Warnings include-
Solver problem. Numerical singularity when processing node.

There is zero FORCE everywhere in the model based on the default criterion. please check the value of the average FORCE during the current iteration to verify that the FORCE is small enough to be treated as zero. if not, please use the solution controls to reset the criterion for zero FORCE.

The system matrix has 1 negative eigenvalues.

Displacement increment for contact is too big.
