How to Batch Convert 2D UG NX7.5 Drawings to .cgm 1

Does anybody out there know of a way to Batch Convert 2D UG NX7.5 Drawings to .cgm?

Are you running Teamcenter (or other PLM)?
Do you have a list of files to export (text file, spreadsheet, database query) or do you want to export everything in a specific folder or some other criteria?

No TeamCenter or PDM System. I have a text file that contains the list of files though. All are in one file and will be converted/exported into the same folder.

Text file reads like this

147500.drawing001.001999.prt
24231190.drawing001.005999.prt
24247157.drawing001.003999.prt
etc...

Attached is a widows based program to create cgm files. The file NXDrawingsToCGM.exe must be placed in your ...ugii/managed directory and you must have the ugii directory in your path environment variable. I use the default cgm export options. This can be changed. You can create a shortcut to place on the desktop. The file has been signed.

Hi Frank. I could not get that program to work. I did add the \managed\ folder to my path environment. The program is installed into this folder "C:\Program Files\UGS\NX 7.5\UGII\managed" I received a general error about how that program has stopped working. I even tried to go to a MS-DOS window and typing the name of the executable. still nothing. running windows 7x64

Dont add the managed folder to the path environment but add ugii to the path environment. That is "C:\Program Files\UGS\NX 7.5\UGII".

That worked great after i fixed the path issue. How about .prt to parasolids Batch mode? Should i start another thread

Yes I can do a program for parasolids files export. It will take a few days and I would have a few questions so it would be appropriate to start a new thread.

Try searching the forum for exporting parasolids. I didn't look too hard and turned up a few that look promising.
