I'm changing sides of the country soon. The majority of my experience is in UG/NX. No Catia, how difficult is the transition? I.E. can I lie and get up to speed in a couple weeks?

UG 10,13 & 18
NX 1,2,4,6,11,12,1899 & 2206
NCL502 (yep I love Sequential Mill)

Condolences. V5 is readily accessible. V6/3DX, that's another story due to the database integration, but it's doable. If you really like NX, you will probably wish you could go back.

If you have previously handled a CAD system, the next one you plan to learn would be much easier.
I use NX, Catia, SolidWorks, Inventor, and AutoCAD (in order of learning).
You'll have no problem switching to Catia.
Transferring CAD skills would enable you to get very fast on track.
In a maximum of two weeks, you'll be alright!
