I use a poly/iso mix to produce product. On occasion product appears to have "skin" that is seperated from the product. I use an in mold release mixture from Chem Trend 6 parts release 13211 and 1 part MR-515-H. In mold paint is Bay One's IM400 mixed with our paint. Molds are painted after release is applied and before pouring Iso/Poly mix. Iso/Poly is heated to 85 degrees. Process is in a temperature controlled environment. Molds are made of Alumilite. Plese see attached pic. Any suggestions?

I will take a wild guess that you are casting with 2 pot polyurethane and a gel coat.

Has this worked before, if so what may have changed.

Have you requested help from your material suppliers.

Hi, Steve.

Sounds like a compatibility issue between your mold release and paint. Even if the problem is occasional, only.

Have you contacted either supplier? Discussions with them could be most valuable. For example, could humidity be playing a role in surface catalysis?

Best wishes.
